About

I currently serve as the Director of the Centre for Security, Armed Forces and Society (CSAS). The RMCC based Think Tank focuses on Canadian National Security and International Security and seeks to act as a bridge between international academics and DND as well as other Canadian government institutions. The Centre’s main work is dedicated to academic government decision support.

My fields of expertise are National Security, Nonproliferation and Terrorism, Political Theory and Political Philosophy. I regularly appear on national and international media in North America and Europe such as ABC, CBC, CTV, ARD, ZDF, Al Jazeera, Deutsche Welle, Deutschland Funk, New York Times, Die Zeit, Economist, Globe and Mail, Ottawa Citizen, National Post.

I have advised government institutions and parliament members in Canada, the United States, Germany, France, Britain and Australia.
